A major kitchen remodel has shut down Big Creek Golf and Country Club’s dining service for at least two weeks.
The remodel, originally scheduled for the week after Christmas, began March 1 with a goal to reopen Tuesday.
Lang Zimmerman, manager and co-founder of Big Creek says they are working towards efficient, quick service and great food.

Plans are in place to strip the kitchen to its studs as well as replace the walls and ceiling. Executive Chef John Kellogg has ordered a 10-burner range, a new charbroiler, new countertop griddles, fryers and a new 10′ by 12′ walk-in freezer.
Zimmerman says one of the biggest operations was tearing out the old vent hood, which will be replaced by one 30% bigger.
Big Creek has partnered with local contractors Gregory Company, Central Heating and Cooling, Inc. and Crawford Electric for the remodel.
