A Flippin woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a number of drug charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Kayla Marie Alderman was facing charges in three Marion County cases and the revocation of her probation in one Baxter County case.

The Marion County charges stem from drug arrests in October last year, in August 2020 and August 2021.

In two of the Marion County cases Alderman was charged with selling methamphetamine to a person working with law enforcement.

The third case was based on a search of the residence where Alderman was living in early October 2021. Officers found items used in the packaging, weighing and ingesting methamphetamine in the house.

A petition was also filed to revoke the four-year probation sentence she received in Baxter County in mid-December 2020.

A long list of violations of the terms and conditions of Alderman’s probation was included in the petition, including the fact she had picked up the new drug charges in Marion County.
