A Mountain Home woman appeared during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Monday and pled guilty to charges that she attempted to smuggle drugs into the Baxter County jail.
Forty-one-year-old Ginger Dawn Green, who has listed addresses in Mountain Home, Flippin and Little Rock on various court documents, was put on probation for six years.
Green told the court she was seven days away from completing a rehab program that she said had worked well for her. The bright red T-shirt Green wore in court proclaimed — “Jail Sucks.”
She was arrested Sept. 17 last year on a failure-to-appear warrant and during the booking process, Green was found to have a substance field testing positive for methamphetamine and suspected marijuana on her person.
Her charges include furnishing or possessing prohibited articles.
According to electronic court records, Green also has an open drug case in Marion County. The charges in that case — possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia — stem from a traffic stop in Flippin on Aug. 7, 2020.
She is set to go to trial in that case later this month.
