A 31-year-old woman was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to a drug charge in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
What started as a shoplifting incident, ended with Patricia Wheeler being charged with possession of methamphetamine.
On March 4, Mountain Home police were called to Hobby Lobby to check on suspected shoplifters.
When they arrived on scene, officers reported coming in contact with Wheeler. They took her into custody, when it was found she had an active warrant for her arrest.
She was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center, where she admitted having a quantity of methamphetamine on her person.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Wheeler surrendered a plastic bag containing 2.3 grams of the drug.
