Tuesday saw plenty of high school baseball and softball in the area.
In softball action:
-Norfork lost at home to Lead Hill 16-11.
-Cotter fell to Mammoth Spring 13-6.
-Flippin roughed up Green Forest 15-0 to improve to 2-1. Maddie Lindsey gave up just two hits to get the win in the circle. Kelsey Garrison had a three-run triple. Allie Downs and Cheyanne Merkel combined for seven hits, six runs and 4 RBI. The Lady Bobcats will play Bergman Thursday in Harrison.
-Calico Rock moved to 4-0 with a 7-4 win at Mountain View.
-Salem is 3-0 after whipping Sloan-Hendrix 22-9.
-Harrison was a 15-0 winner over Berryville.
On the baseball diamond:
-Norfork was a 13-7 winner over Bergman.
-Yellville-Summit thumped Lead Hill 15-5.
-Salem edged past Sloan-Hendrix 5-4.
-Melbourne was a 12-2 winner over Newport.
-Mammoth Spring lost to Marked Tree 15-2.
