The Mountain Home Junior High Career Day event will take place Tuesday from 8 until 2.
The event allows children to learn about job opportunities available in the area and shows how they will utilize their strengths and engage their personal interests, whether they choose to leave the area after school or stay local.
Eighth graders will be at the Baxter County Fairgrounds exploring different career paths with community partners, while ninth graders will be at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home with five different colleges and several different departments from Baxter Regional Medical Center for a career/college awareness event.
The career day initiative fits into the K-12 Career Pathways program at Mountain Home Public Schools.
