Following a season in which Mountain Home’s junior high girls’ basketball team finished as district champions, its leader was honored for her contribution. The Arkansas Basketball Coaches Association named Junior Lady Bombers’ head coach Lindsey Leonard as the Junior High Coach of the Year on the girls’ side.

Leonard says she is thankful to receive the award, but she gives much of the credit to the kids taking the floor.
