Mountain Home teams win Junior Bomber Relays

The Mountain Home Junior High track team hosted the Junior Bomber Relays Wednesday. The boys’ team won the meet with 208 points, Pocahontas came in second with 154 points, and Clinton finished third with 96.5 points. The girls team also won the meet.

Anna McCarn won the 400m in a new personal best of 1:08.90min. Camilla Johnson finished fourth in 1:13.65min. In the boys’ 400m, Zach Daugherty won in 58.09, and Dayton Davis finished in fourth with 1:01.62.

In the boys’ 200m, Barrett Miller won in 24.45sec in a close race with teammate Jacob Chenoweth who came in second with 24.56. Dillon Stacey finished fourth in 25.78, and Christian Cruse came in fifth in 25.78sec. Miller also won the 100m in 11.55sec.

In the girls’ 200m race, Camilla Johnson placed second with a time of 29.60sec. Teammate Whitten Coleman placed fifth with a time of 31.07sec. Johnson won the 300m hurdles in a time of 57.25sec. Pixie Bolick placed fourth with a time of 58.98sec.

In the girls’ 1600m, Bailey Ritenburg won, Erin Smith came in third, and Bailey Byrd finished in fifth place. In the boys 1600m, Trenton Smith won and Connor King placed second. Smith also placed second in the 800m later that evening.

In the boys’ pole vault, 9th grader Adam Jones reached new heights by setting a new personal best of 11’6″. Zach Daugherty finished in second with a new personal best of 11 feet.

The Junior Bombers return for their last meet before conference next week when 7th and 8th grade travel to West Plains for Middle School West Plains Ribbon and 9th grade go to Harrison for Rosson Jr. Goblin.
