The St. Louis Cardinals will continue its season-opening series at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The second of the four-game set is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
The season got underway on Thursday in a dominating fashion for the Redbirds. St. Louis was able to shut out Pittsburgh 9-0. Tyler O’Neill led the was with a three-run home run and five RBIs.
Miles Mikolas starts for the Cardinals, and the Pirates will counter with Mitch Keller. The first pitch at Busch Stadium is scheduled for 1:15. Saturday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 12:20 with Ameren Total Access.
