Hardy house fire destroys family home

A Hardy family has been left homeless after a Sunday morning fire destroyed their residence.Hardy police say the home on West Clayton Street was fully engulfed when authorities arrived. Two adults and a child were reportedly at the home at the time of the fire. Three more children of the household were not at the residence at the time. No major injuries were reported, however two of the family dogs died in the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose said the family is in need of “most everything,” particularly clothing.
