An area woman suffered moderate injuries from a one-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Ozark County. Sixty-six-year-old Kathryn West of Theodosia was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, West was traveling on U.S. Highway 160. She was nearly eight miles west of Gainesville when she failed to negotiate a curve. West’s SUV ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.
West’s SUV had extensive damage in the 2:43 p.m. accident.
