(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) — Trees, tree trimmings and brush will be burned at Pinnacle Mountain State Park as early as Thursday and continuing through next week, depending on weather conditions.

The trimming has occurred as part of the construction of a new visitor center, and the burning will be conducted by CDI, the contractor overseeing the visitor center project.

Burning is scheduled for Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday, weather permitting, with burn times beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting until about 4 p.m., with all fires being extinguished at that time.

No burning will take place on the weekend. Residents and visitors to the area may see smoke from the controlled burn but otherwise will not be impacted, and there will not be park closures.
