Baxter County Circuit and Court Clerk Canda Reese has issued a clarification concerning the process when a candidate drops out of a political race. Earlier this week Bob Lowery suspended his campaign for District 10 Judge. At the time, Reese said votes for a candidate that drops from a race would not be counted. She says she misspoke and that is not the case.

The Primary Election is set for May 24 with early voting starting May 9. The deadline to register to vote, if you are not already a registered voter, is Monday.
