Thursday baseball and softball: Norfork baseball wins again

A few area high school baseball and softball teams were able to get their games in Thursday despite Wednesday’s rain.

In baseball action:
-Norfork run-ruled Concord 12-2 to push their record to 17-3.
-Izard County fell to Highland 2-1. The Cougars are now 16-5.
-Mammoth Spring lost to Hillcrest 11-1.
-Mountain View won a slugfest at Bald Knob 15-14.

In softball results:
-Norfork lost at Concord 15-0.
-Viola got past Calico Rock 5-3. The Lady Longhorns improve to 11-6 while the Lady Pirates fall to 7-12.
