The Gainesville High School baseball team finished the weekend as the runners-up of the Southern Missouri Invitational Tournament. The Bulldogs fell to Mountain Grove 10-2 in Saturday’s title game.
Melbourne had a dominating day on the baseball diamond. The Bearkatz pounded Sloan-Hendrix by a final of 11-1.
Melbourne had mixed results in softball. The Lady Bearkatz started the day at home with a 5-0 loss to Tuckerman. They later went on the road and topped Salem 11-0.
