17 Mtn. Home FBLA members heading to nationals

Twenty-eight members of the Mountain Home High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter competed in 19 events during the 2022 Arkansas FBLA state leadership conference earlier this month.

Seventeen members have been selected to advance to the national level competition. The 2022 FBLA national conference will be held in Chicago, Ill. June 29 through July 3.

The following students received first place in their category:

*Haley Franks and Lily Foster for Data Analysis;

*Bailey Stockfish for Entrepreneurship; and

*Brandon Belicek, Cadence Webster, Jace Godfrey and Colton Cooley for Parliamentary Procedures.

The following students received second place in their category:

*Hannah Carlisle for Public Speaking;

*Brooke Bayless, Maranda Jones and Reagan Webb for Business Management;

*Kylie Andrews for E-Business;

*Emmanuel Westra for Business Calculations; and

*Nicholas Stanton for Securities and Investments.

Sadie Quick, Merritt McConnell and Brooke Queen received third place for Hospitality and Event Management and Taylor Shumacker placed fourth in Who’s Who.

In addition to members competing in events, two members were elected to the 2022-2023 Arkansas FBLA State Officer team:

Gracyn Goodwin will serve as Treasurer and Jace Godfrey will serve as Parliamentarian.
