
The Big Creek Stroke Play Championship came to an end Sunday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club with three golfers tied for the best score. Dustin Cole, John Tetens and Dill Gunn each won their divisions with a two-day total of 147.
Gunn won the super senior division after finishing one stroke ahead of Greg Connell. First round leader Mike Cormack ended up in third place with a 149.
Tetens edged out Bev Hargraves by one stroke to take the senior title. Jason Smart had a 149 to finish in third place.
Cole captured the mid-amateur division. Trey Schapp was 10 strokes off the lead to take second place, and Josh Jones was third with a 158.
Tyler Reynolds had a 149 to win the open division. Runner-up Stephen Stanton was two strokes back, and Clayton Harbour finished with a 152.
Bill Wrentz won the master division with a 154. Jim Smith was nine strokes off the lead to finish second, and Alan Humphries was third with a 167.
Nora Phillips ended up being the top golfer on the women’s side. She took the mid-amateur division with a 152.
Rosetta Parks had a two-day total of 169 to win the senior division. Christie Mahl was second at four strokes back, and Karen Carter was third with a 187.
Mimi Evans took the master division title with a 178. Pat Elliott was two strokes off the lead to finish second.
Pam Evans won the super senior crown. She ended up with a two-day total of 180.
