Baseball and softball make up much of the local Tuesday schedule.
Cotter begins hosting the 2A-1 District Baseball Tournament at Warrior Field. Yellville-Summit faces Alpena at 4, and Flippin takes on Decatur at 6.
Salem will be at Midland High School in Pleasant Plains for their opener in the 2A-2 District Tournament. The Greyhounds will play at 7:30 against the winner of the 3:30 game between Cedar Ridge and the host Mustangs.
Mammoth Spring goes to Strawberry for its first game in the 1A-3 District Tournament at Hillcrest. The Bears will be paired with Crowley’s Ridge Academy at 6.
Elsewhere, Viola hosts Thayer, Calico Rock entertains Concord, and Gainesville travels to Eminence.
Salem’s softball team will also be at Midland to begin the 2A-2 District Tournament. The Lady Greyhounds face the host Lady Mustangs at 5:30.
In other high school softball, Cotter takes on Ozark Mountain on the Bruno-Pyatt campus in Eros, Flippin is home against Gainesville, Viola hosts Rural Special for a doubleheader, Calico Rock makes the trip to Concord, and Mammoth Spring entertains Maynard.
