
The Mountain Home High School track teams did well at the 5A West Conference Track Meet at Siloam Springs Tuesday. The Bombers finished in second place, just over 10 points behind Vilonia. The Lady Bombers were third.
Individually for the Mountain Home boys: Brody Patterson won the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles, Anderson Hodges won the 400 meter dash, Brady Barnett won the long jump, Bryson Hodges was second in the 800 meter run and third in the 1600 meter run, Ky Bickford finished second in the 1600 meter run, Andrew Westphal finished second in the 3200 meter run, Michael Davis was second in the pole vault, Hendrix Hughes was third in the 3200 meter run, Zachary Daughterty finished third in the pole vault, Levi Utchman was third in the high jump, William Hill was fourth in the 800 meter run, Robert Dover finished fourth in the shot put and discus and fifth in the high jump and Adrian Bzdel was fifth in the 300 meter hurdles.
In team events: Mountain Home won the 4×400 meter relay with the team of Patterson, Bickford, Bryson Hodges and Anderson Hodges. The team of Ty Lawrence, Max Hough, Trey Czeschin and Westphal finished second in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Austin Callies, Bzdel, Elijah Lagg and Barnett finished fifth in the 4×100 meter relay.
Individually for the Lady Bombers: Jordan Ritenburg won the 3200 meter run and was second in the 1600 meter run, Laurel Chafin won the 100 meter hurdles and was fifth in the 300 meter hurdles, Cayden Jones won the discus, Riley Patterson finished second in the 3200 meter run and fourth in the 1600 meter run and Bailey Ritenburg finished third in the 400 meter dash.
In team events: Mountain Home’s team of Erin Smith, Erika Krueger, Whitney Wilber and Bailey Ritenburg was second in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Mackenzi Clark, Anna McCarn, Wilber and Bailey Ritenburg finished fourth in the 4×400 meter relay. In the 4×200 meter relay, the team of Merritt McConnell, Rachel Chamberlain, Clark and Monica Chafin was fifth.
