Tuesday baseball and softball: Flippin girls, Yellville-Summit boys cruise

Several area high school baseball and softball teams saw action Tuesday.

On the baseball diamond:
-Yellville-Summit pounded Alpena 20-0 to improve to 10-10 on the year.
-Gainesville wallopped Eminence 15-0 to up their record to 15-3.

In softball action:
-Norfork lost two games against Greers Ferry West Side, falling by scores of 15-3 and 10-0.
-Flippin was an 8-1 winner over Gainesville to improve to 17-7 on the season.
-Calico Rock was a 3-1 winner at home over Concord to push their record to 9-12.
-Salem fell to Midland 7-6.
-Izard County lost to Greers Ferry West Side 18-1.
-Mammoth Spring claimed their second straight conference championship after sweeping Maynard by scores of 15-0 and 17-0.
