An Ozark County man who fled from the sheriff earlier this week, but lost his sunglasses in the process has been reunited with them following his arrest. Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin kept the sunglasses and posted a picture of them on Facebook along with a jail uniform, saying he was holding them for William Huelsenbeck until he was arrested again.

Huelsenbeck fled in a truck from the sheriff Tuesday when the sheriff pulled into his driveway. Huelsenbeck only made it about one quarter of a mile before his truck became high centered on some rocks and he fled on foot.

Wednesday, Ozark County deputies provided information to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office that Huelsenbeck was possibly staying at a residence there. Thursday morning, Howell County deputies found Huelsenbeck hiding in a closet and he was arrested without incident.

In the Facebook post Thursday after his arrest, Huelsenbeck is shown in a photo wearing the sunglasses he lost when he fled. Sheriff Martin thanked Huelsenbeck for being a good sport, saying Huelsenbeck was more than happy to participate in the photo shoot.

Huelsenbeck was wanted on a failure to appear charge in connection with his original arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
