A new girls’ basketball coach has been hired at Norfork and it’s someone who has coached against them in recent years. The Norfork School Board, at a special meeting Tuesday night, voted to hire Luke Cornett from conference foe Rural Special. He takes over a team coming off a state championship in March.
Cornett comes to Norfork after two seasons with the Lady Rebels. He led Rural Special to a state championship in 2021, topping Norfork in the title game.
Cornett takes over for Will Stewart who was named the new head coach at Russellville earlier this month.
