
This first week of May looks to be an active one when it comes to weather. Two systems will bring heavy rain and a couple of chances of severe weather.
Meteorologist Willie Gilmore with the National Weather Service in North Little Rock says the Twin Lakes Area will see showers and thunderstorms during the day Monday, but a better chance of heavy rain and severe weather will be Monday night.

Gilmore says once we get past the storms Wednesday night and Thursday, much nicer weather and warmer temperatures are on the way.

A flood watch is in effect for Baxter, Marion, Searcy, Boone and Newton counties in northern Arkansas and Ozark, Douglas and Taney counties in southern Missouri from 10 Monday morning until 7 Tuesday morning.
