A woman is currently in the Ozark County Jail in connection with a Friday night double shooting incident in the Caney Mountain area. Rhonda Sprague of Gainesville is being held without bond on felony counts of first- and second-degree assault and armed criminal action.
According to a Facebook post from the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene around 11:30 Friday night and located two victims with gunshot wounds. One victim was transported by air ambulance to an undisclosed hospital, and the other was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The names and conditions of the victims have not been released.
A warrant for Sprague’s arrest was issued the next day. Details were not given on when and where she was taken into custody.
A deputy says the investigation is continuing, and more details may be released at a later time.
