After a rare Wednesday off, the St. Louis Cardinals return to action Thursday night at home as they begin a four-game weekend series against Milwaukee.
The Cardinals are 24-19 on the season. They trail the Brewers by 3 1/2 games in the National League Central Division. Milwaukee is 28-16.
Adam Wainwright (5-3) starts for St. Louis Thursday night while Milwaukee sends Eric Lauer (4-1) to the mound.
Game time is 6:45 with the Ameren Total Access pregame show at 5:50 on KTLO-AM.
