One of the key aspects to the operation of Baxter Regional Medical Center is its auxiliary services. This year, the hospital is celebrating 60 years of having the assistance of its volunteers.

Baxter Regional Director of Volunteer Services Becky Rose says in addition to the volunteers, the auxiliary services also have multiple avenues of raising money for the hospital.

The celebrations for the volunteers’ 60 years of service have begun and are continuing. Earlier this year, an appreciation banquet was held to show gratitude to the volunteers. The banquet is normally an annual event, but this is the first time in two years the hospital was able to host it due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rose says there are more activities coming up in the near future.
