Recent graduate becomes 1st Norfork athlete to sign for college track and field

A recent graduate of Norfork High School recently made history by becoming the school’s first athlete to sign a national letter of intent for track and field. Will Martin will be joining Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge.

Martin says he is excited for his opportunity to become an Eagle. Originally, he didn’t think competing on the collegiate level would be an option.

Martin is coming off a season in which he helped the Panthers win the 1A-2 conference championship. At the conference meet, he finished in the top five in the high jump, long jump, triple jump and shot put.

Martin gives credit to his coaches, Stacy Havner and Brad Morrison, for helping him become the first Panther to sign for college track.
