Man injured after motorcycle collides with pickup truck

An area man was injured Saturday evening when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck Saturday evening in Gainesville. Forty-three-year-old Franklin Treece was transported by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with what were described as moderate injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Treece was traveling on Missouri Highway 5. He was nearly a half-mile north of U.S. Highway 160 when the truck, driven by 52-year-old Danial Teconchuk, pulled into the path of Treece’s motorcycle. Teconchuk was not injured.

Treece’s motorcycle had moderate damage, and Teconchuk’s truck had minor damage in the 8:10 p.m. accident.
