One area team in top 100 after day 1 at Bassmaster high school championship

Day one of the Abu Garcia Bassmaster High School Championship presented by Academy Sports and Outdoors on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina is in the books and one of the three teams from Salem competing is in the top 100.The team of Madison Busch and Keaton Bassham are in 57th place after catching five fish weighing 10 pounds and 2 ounces.

Salem’s Fisher Tyler and Blake Ingram are in 176th place with a catch of four fish weighing 5 pounds and 14 ounces.

The team of Colton Smith and Huntlee York are in 292nd place after catching one fish weighing 1 pound and 1 ounce.

A team from Bradleyville in Taney County, Wyatt Marler and Brock Rogers, are in a three-way tie for 103rd place after catching five fish weighing 8 pounds and 5 ounces.

The anglers will be on the lake again Friday, then the field will be cut to the top 10 teams for the final day Saturday.
