Area teams miss cut after 2nd round of Bassmaster High School Championship

The run for four area teams in the Abu Garcia Bassmaster High School Championship presented by Academy Sports and Outdoors came to an end on Friday. Three teams from Salem and one from Bradleyville missed the cut after the second round on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina.

Madison Busch and Keaton Bassham of Salem were the top area team as they finished 65th with a two-day total of 10 fish weighing 18 pounds, 1 ounce. Bradleyville’s Wyatt Marler and Brock Rogers were 112th with eight bass at a total weight of 14 pounds, 15 ounces. Fisher Tyler and Blake Ingram of Salem ended up 187th with eight fish weighing 10 pounds, 12 ounces, and Colton Smith and Huntlee York of Salem finished 267th with four fish weighing 5 pounds, 1 ounce.

Reece Keeney and Bryce Moder of the Northeast Wisconsin Bass Club will lead the final round of 12 teams with 10 bass weighing 30 pounds, 1 ounce.
