A few area high school golf teams competed Thursday at Diamond Hills Country Club in Diamond City.
Valley Springs won the boys’ side with a total of 142. Flippin was two strokes back to finish second, Bergman was third at 152, and Yellville-Summit ended up fourth at 166.
Kaden Ponder of Bergman was the medalist with a 43. Flippin’s Hudson Lindsey ended up one stroke of the lead to take second place, and Cody Downs of Flippin and Keyton Carnahan of Valley Springs finished tied for third with a 45.
On the girls’ side, Flippin had a team total of 156. The Lady Bobcats were led by medalist Maddie Lindsey with a 45, Stevie Jennings was second with a 47, and Reece Johnson shot a 50 to end up third.
