Thursday will be one of the Marion County Fair and Livestock Show’s busiest days. The day will serve as both School Day and Senior Day.

For School Day, local districts will be bussing kids starting at 9 to the fairgrounds at 513 East Seawell Avenue in Summit. The youth will be able to see the entries and livestock at the fair.

For Senior Day, individuals age 50 and older will be able to compete in the Bingo competition starting at 11. They will also be served lunch courtesy of the Bank of 1889.

One of the first activities on Thursday will be the Livestock Skills-a-thon at 10, and the tractor driving contest gets underway at 1. The replacement heifer show is scheduled for 3 at the arena.

The small animal barn will be closed to the public at 4. The small animal show will feature sheep, meat goats and pigs and get started at 5:30.

Marion County Paving and its owners, Shane and Darla Davenport, will sponsor the Power Wheels Derby at 6. Thursday’s activities will conclude with live music featuring the band 7 South.
