An AMBER Alert issued for a boy taken in West Memphis has been canceled. According to the West Memphis Police Department, 4-year-old Caleb Johnson and his mother, Skyla Byles, were both located Monday afternoon.
Byles had reportedly picked up Johnson from daycare around 8:50 Monday morning and texted the grandmother stating she would harm herself and the child. According to a report from Memphis television station WMC, a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the incident was located in a Memphis neighborhood.
The alert was inactivated at 2 Monday afternoon.
