Local communities in the Twin Lakes area, and around the world, are coming together Wednesday evening for International Overdose Awareness Day to remember those who have died or suffered permanent injury due to drug overdose. This day seeks to create better understanding of overdose, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths, and create change that reduces the harms associated with drug use.
County judges and mayors in the area will be reading the proclamation at their respective County Court House Lawn, Wednesday evening at 7. This candlelight vigil allows the community to come together and honor those lost to overdose and bring awareness to those suffering with addiction.
