Lady Bombers 2nd, Bombers 4th in conference golf tournament at Big Creek

The Mountain Home High School girls’ golf team finished second and the boys were fourth at the 5A-West Conference Tournament played Wednesday at Big Creek Golf & Country Club.

The Lady Bombers had a team total of 290, 46 strokes behind first place Russellville. Faith Hilvert led Mountain Home with an 88 to finish tied for third overall. Abby Edens finished seventh with a 93. Lexi Rauls was 13th with a 107. Emma Killian shot 123 to finish tied for 22nd.

Harrison’s girls were fifth. The Lady Goblins were led by AvaMarie Valasquez with a 101.

The Bombers had a team total of 343, 37 strokes behind first place Van Buren and just one stroke behind third place Russellville. Chase Berwald paced the Bombers with a 79 to finish fifth overall. Jack Coleman shot an 80 to tie for 7th place. Jackson Corp and Ian Ellison tied for 22nd with a 92. Lincoln Sherry was 24th with a 93.

Harrison’s boys finished second with a 337. The Goblins were led by Reggie Grant who finished tied for third with a 78.
