Early voting numbers pick up on second day

It was a busy day for early voting Tuesday in the Twin Lakes Area, much busier than Monday which was the first day voters in Arkansas could cast their ballot.

In Baxter County, 607 votes were cast Tuesday, compared to 704 on Monday. There were 380 voters who cast their ballots at the Baxter County Courthouse, 113 voted at the Baxter County Fairgrounds and 114 voted at the Baxter County Election Commission Headquarters.

In Marion County, the number of voters doubled with 435 voting Tuesday compared to 211 on Monday. The Marion County Fairgrounds in Summit saw 237 voters while 198 voters cast their ballot at Bull Shoals City Hall.

Fulton County had 227 voters at the Fulton County Fairgrounds Tuesday. On Monday, there were 141 voters.

Early voting will continue through Nov. 7. Hours are from 8-6 Monday through Friday and 10-4 on Saturday. The Monday before election day, Nov. 7, hours are from 8-5.
