A full weekend of Halloween events in the Twin Lakes area

This weekend a variety of Halloween events will take place throughout the Twin Lakes area.

ASUMH will host a Haunted Trail & Treat Friday evening from 6 until 9. It will feature games, concessions, candy, pet costume contest, people costume contest, petting zoo & haunted trail. The haunted trail will start at parking lot #5, near Gottas Hall and the Walking/Hiking Trail trailhead.

Also on Friday evening, there will be a Halloween party at The Elk’s Lodge #1714 located at 101 Elks Way in Mountain Home, open to members and guests. There will be prizes for best costumes, music, food, and more.

The 5th Annual Halloween “Haunted House” at Gamma House will be open Friday and Saturday evening starting at 6 until the last ghost goes home. Located at 104 East 10th Street, there will be various children’s activities and fun food for sale. Children under 4 are free. Cost for the haunted house is $5 and the hay ride is $2.50.

On the campus of the Good Samaritan Society, there will be a Community Pumpkin Walk Friday from 4 until 7. kids of all ages can enjoy this pumpkin-lit walk to see beautifully painted and carved pumpkins. The trail will be around the pavilion.

Saturday, The Schliemann Center for Women’s Health is hosting its ninth annual Boos and Brews Monster Gala. This costume party for adults will be held at the Baxter Health Wellness Education Center and all proceeds benefit the programs and services offered by the Schliemann Center. Tickets are $75 each. The Misty Falls Haunted House will hold a free haunted village at 1026 Redwing Trail Saturday evening from 7 until 10 and Monday from 4 until 10.

A Trick or Treat at the Casey House will take place Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings from 5 until 8. The Casey House is located on the northeast corner of the fairgrounds at the intersection of Wade Street and Arena Drive.

The Alley-White American Legion Auxiliary Unit 52 will host its 2nd Annual Halloween Fun Fest Saturday afternoon from 10 until 2 at the post located at 717 Market Street. The admission charge is one or more items of nonperishable food for the Veteran’s panty. There will be games, prizes, activities and a scarecrow-building contest. Lunch will be available for purchase from 11 until 1.

Ultimate Auto Group will hold its 3rd annual Halloween Extravaganza Trunk or Treat Saturday evening from 6:30 until 8. There will be fire trucks, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and lots of candy. Call 870-425-2181 for more information.

The First United Methodist Church of Mountain home will hold a Trick or Trunk Fall Festival Sunday evening from 5 until 6:30. There will be games, candy, popcorn, hot dogs, chili, hot apple cider, door prizes, and a fire pit to make S’mores. The event is free to the public.

The Cotter Fire Department & Auxiliary are having a Halloween Drive-Thru Trick or Treat at the Cotter Firehouse on Monday evening from 6 until. The firehouse is located at 950 Harding Blvd. in Cotter.

The Marion County Library will be hosting a Pumpkin Party for the Little and Spectacularly Spooky Soiree Monday afternoon at 3:45. The event will feature a costume parade, games, prizes, snacks and candy. This event is free to the public.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a trick or treat Monday evening from 5 until 7 at the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. There will be spooky treats, drinks and hot dogs. Costumes encouraged.
