All four amendments issues presented the ballot for the November General Election have failed in Arkansas.
Issue 1 discussed giving State Senators and Representatives the authority to call special legislative sessions and set the agenda.
Issue 1 has failed with 331,33 for the issue and 516,734 against.
In Baxter County, 6,953 voted for the issue and 7,772 voted against;
In Marion County, 2,218 voted for the issue and 2,562 voted against;
In Izard County, 1,738 voted for the issue and 2,574 voted against;
In Fulton County, 1,596 voted for the issue and 2,022 voted against; and
In Boone County, 5,135 voted for the issue and 6,835 voted against.
Issue 2 gave voters the option to require 60% of voter approval for constitutional amendments and citizen-proposed state laws.
Issue 2 has failed with 349,223 voting for the issue and 505,788 voting against.
In Baxter County, 7,771 voted for the issue and 7,055 voted against;
In Marion County, 2,541 voted for the issue and 2,300 voted against;
In Izard County, 1,914 voted for the issue and 2,446 voted against;
In Fulton County, 1,755 voted for the issue and 1,884 voted against; and
In Boone County, 5,922 voted for the issue and 6,093 voted against.
Issue 3 has been called the Arkansas Religious Freedom Amendment which is said to provide that government may never burden a person’s freedom of religion, except in the rare circumstance that the government demonstrates application of the burden to the person is in furtherance of a compelling government interest and is the least restrictive means of furthering that compelling government interest.
Issue 3 has failed with 428,035 voting for the issue and 435,711 voting against.
In Baxter County, 6,785 voted for the issue and 6,810 voted against;
In Marion County, 2,644 voted for the issue and 2,251 voted against;
In Izard County, 2,170 voted for the issue and 2,238 voted against;
In Fulton County, 2,053 voted for the issue and 1,707 voted against; and
In Boone County, 6,526 voted for the issue and 5,745 voted against.
Issue 4, called the Arkansas Adult Use Cannabis Amendment, is said to be an amendment authorizing the possession, personal use and consumption of cannabis by adults, to authorize the cultivation and sale of cannabis by licensed commercial facilities and to provide for the regulation of those facilities.
Issue 4 failed with 388,123 voting for the issue and 499,170 voting against.
In Baxter County, 6,785 voted for the issue and 8,663 voted against;
In Marion County, 2,386 voted for the issue and 2,646 voted against;
In Izard County, 1,855 voted for the issue and 2,682 voted against;
In Fulton County, 1,612 voted for the issue and 2,270 voted against; and
In Boone County, 4,844 voted for the issue and 7,761 voted against.
