Jackson, Nuessner elected mayors in Boone Co.

In Boone County, a few races were determined on Election Day.

Republican Jim Harp has been elected for Justice of the Peace District 8 after receiving 932 votes and defeating challenger Independent Mark Steven Fowler, who received 414 votes.

For the City of Harrison, Jerry Jackson has been reelected as Mayor. Jackson received 2,239 votes against challenger Rhonda Watkins who received 1,554.

The City Attorney position has been given to Nancy Cartwright who received 2,315 votes or 66% against Rachel Freeman who received 1,171 votes or 34%.

In Diamond City, Jamie Nuessner has been reelected as mayor. The incumbent received 174 votes while Timothy Alan Kapsos received 90.

Two City Council positions were determined for Diamond City, Dale Taylor has been reelected to the Ward 2, Position 2 seat with 56% of votes, while Robert Smith received 44%.

Casey Greer has been elected for the vacant Ward 3, Position 2 seat, defeating Mariah M. Lewis who received 107 votes. Greer received 135.
