An Arkansas State Police (ASP) investigation has lead to two Class Y felony charges of delivery of methamphetamine for a Gassville man.

According to the probable cause affidavit, ASP and 14th Judicial Drug Task Force met with a confidential informant for the purposes of making a controlled purchase of methamphetamine earlier this year from 40-year-old James Guiltner.

In March, investigators equipped the informant with electronic monitoring and $300 where they then sent them to purchase methamphetamine. The informant brought back 13.5 grams of methamphetamine from Guiltner.

ASP equipped another confidential information with electronic monitoring and $230 in June. When the informant contacted Guiltner, a purchase was made for 14.8 grams of methamphetamine, which occurred within 1,000 feet of what state police deem a ‘certain facility’.

Guiltner has previous felony convictions of manufacturing, possession and delivery of controlled substances in 2011 and theft in 2010.

Guiltner was charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one count of distribution of controlled substance near certain facilities and one count of unlawful use of a communication device.

He has been released from the Baxter County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
