The Viola High School basketball teams were swept Thursday at Shirley. The Lady Longhorns fell to the Lady Blue Devils 58-54. Viola also lost the boys’ game to Shirley 75-49.
Calico Rock’s boys had a rough outing against another group of Pirates. Calico Rock fell to Concord by a final of 96-69.
The Ozark Mountain girls had a tough home outing at Western Grove. The Lady Bears ended up losing to Marshall 63-53.
The Lead Hill High School teams had a short by rough trip to Bergman. The Tigers fell to the Panthers 84-48 in the boys’ game. Lead Hill also lost the girls’ contest 92-45.
Valley Springs’ girls got sent to the seventh place game of the Dandra Thomas Invitational Tournament at Conway. The Lady Tigers fell to Little Rock Parkview 67-53.
The Ten-10 homeschool basketball program swept a pair of boys’ games over Northwest Arkansas.
The Titans destroyed the Hornets 94-31 in the varsity game. Dawson Bingham led Ten-10 with 23 points, and Gabe Spray added 18.
Ten-10 later won the junior high contest 45-33. The Junior Titans were led by Beniah Spray with 26 points.
