The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public a Level 2 registered sex offender has relocated from Mississippi County to Baxter County.
Sheriff John Montgomery says 40-year-old Henry Johnson has moved to 79 Florence Drive in Mountain Home.
Level 2 is considered a moderate risk to re-offend with community notification justified.
Johnson was convicted of sexual abuse in the first degree in February of 2002. The offense involved the then 20-year-old offender engaging in sexual activity with a female under the age of 14.
Johnson is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is the sheriff’s belief an informed public is a safer public. This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders. Citizen abuse will not be tolerated. Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to provide community notification.
