Thursday basketball schedule includes MHHS hosting Paragould

Basketball makes up much of the local Thursday schedule and includes the Mountain Home High School teams’ last home outing before the Christmas holiday. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will welcome Paragould to the Twin Lakes Area.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 6-5 on the season. The Lady Bombers are coming off a loss Tuesday at West Plains.
The Mountain Home boys have a record of 6-4. The Bombers were edged out at Rogers two nights ago.
The junior varsity boys’ game at Bomber Gymnasium tips off at 5. The varsity contests begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.

The semifinals of the Battle of the Border will be held at Mammoth Spring. The host Lady Bears meet Alton at 7, and Viola’s boys face Mammoth Spring at 8:30.

Elsewhere on the high school level, Bakersfield’s girls host Seymour, the Gainesville girls travel to Sparta, Ozark Mountain makes the trip to Fox to take on Rural Special, Dora heads to Eminence, and Harrison’s girls entertain Rogers.

On the junior varsity level, Marshall is home against Timbo.

Three of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will go toward the Mississippi River for an outing with West Memphis Wonder. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 5 followed by both freshman contests.

In other junior high basketball, Salem travels to Tuckerman, Melbourne hosts Walnut Ridge, Bergman entertains Elkins, and Omaha makes the trip to Jasper.
