
The new junior college baseball program at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home had a busy fall as they prepare for their inaugural spring season. The Trailblazers were introduced to the community at this month’s media day.
ASU-Mountain Home head coach Spencer Adcock says the team has had a lot to work on and a short amount of time to do it. One of the main goals has been getting players ready for when they depart the university.

Three of those players — Alex Harrell of Paragoud, Joseph Hardin of Bentonville and Easton Richard of Van Buren — have committed to joining the program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. Harrell says during the time he’s been with the Trailblazers, Coach Adcock has kept the players working together as a team.

Hardin says having Adcock as his head coach at ASU-Mountain Home has been a plus. Hardin says Adcock has a lot of knowledge of the game of baseball, and he also has some extra tools in his arsenal.

Another member of the Trailblazer baseball team is Cade Heckendorn of Flower Mound, Texas. He says he was attracted by the campus and the city surrounding it.

Logen Walker is one of the locals on the team hailing from Mountain Home. He says the team has been working hard in the fall, but with every new program, there’s always room for improvement.

ASU-Mountain Home should be releasing its spring schedule in the near future. Adcock says he is looking forward to getting the season started.
