As frigid wind chills move into the Twin Lakes area this week, there are some things to keep in mind to prevent water pipes from freezing at home.
Chad Dewey of Dewey and Sons Plumbing spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits, and The Boot News to share tips and remind the public how they can keep their pipes from freezing in the frigid temperatures.
Dewey states if the power goes out, continue dripping the water to keep the pipes from freezing. If a pipe bursts there will be no evidence until the weather warms up. If a pipe has ruptured he says to have the issue addressed as soon as possible.
Tune in to KTLO, Classic Hits 101.7 and 99.7 The Boot for the latest winter weather coverage.
