The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) has prioritized conserving, restoring and enhancing aquatic habitats in reservoirs and lakes throughout the state. They have refreshed many fish habitat sites on Bull Shoals Lake that have deteriorated over time. In 2017 the AGFC completed a large-scale project replenishing 95 habitat sites, and an additional 30 in 2018.

This December, the AGFC completed another large-scale project in the middle section of Bull Shoals Lake, replenishing 128 existing sites from Mountain Creek to Music Creek. This recent effort was part of a large project covering Beaver Lake, Bull Shoals Lake and Norfork Lake with a $275,000 grant from the National Fish Habitat Partnership using funds donated by Bass Pro Shops.

Habitat coordinates for Bull Shoals Lake will be updated and available in 2023.
