After having to pause its restoration process overnight, Black Hills Energy has resumed its work Saturday morning. According to the energy provider, 30 technicians and team members had restored natural gas service to nearly 85% of customers who had lost service, by 10 a.m. Saturday.

Local Black Hills employees are being joined by technicians from across Arkansas and Kansas to restore service as quickly as possible. At the current rate of progress, the provider is estimating nearly all customers will have service restored by Saturday afternoon.

At locations awaiting restoration, technicians should have placed a yellow flag in the customers’ yards. The flag will be removed after service is restored. If no one is home, a tag will be left on the door notifying the customer the gas has been shut off. It will also include instructions to call the company for service restoration. Someone over 18 years of age is required to be present during the relighting process.
