High school basketball makes up the local Friday schedule as tournament play continues for area teams.
The semifinals of the North Arkansas College Invitational Tournament will be held at the Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison. On the girls’ side, Rural Special and Valley Springs tip off at 4, and top-seeded Norfork meets Kingston at 6:40. On the boys’ bracket, Valley Springs faces Clinton at 5:20, and Marshall takes on top-seeded Bergman at 8.
Both of Harrison’s teams will go up against Prairie Grove as they host the final day of the Lendel Thomas Classic. The girls’ game is scheduled for 6 followed by the boys’ contest at Goblin Arena.
Two area girls’ teams will wrap up action in the Pink Bracket of the Pink and White Tournament in Springfield. West Plains plays Rock Bridge for third place at 1 at the O’Reilly Family Event Center on the campus of Drury University, and Ava will compete for fifth place against Ozark at 4 at Kickapoo High School.
Both of Hollister’s teams will play their final games in the Walnut Grove Holiday Classic. The Lady Tigers will meet Greenfield for fifth place at 4:30 in Ash Grove, and the Hollister boys face Marionville for third place at 6 in Morrisville.
