A man who has had a number of criminal charges filed against him through the years was back in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Forty-two-year-old Nathias Z. Hall of Mountain Home entered a guilty plea to charges stemming from his three latest arrests and was put on probation for 72 months.

When Hall was pulled over in mid-March 2021 and asked to provide his driver’s license, he gave police his brother’s name and date of birth. When the officer checked, he determined the license belonging to the brother had expired in 2006. In addition, the picture displayed on the officer’s computer did not match Nathias Hall.

A drug dog was brought to the scene and alerted to Hall’s vehicle indicating the possible presence of illegal narcotics. A search turned up a glass-smoking pipe that showed signs of having been used to ingest methamphetamine. The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory verified the presence of methamphetamine, according to the police report.

Hall was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing governmental operations by providing false information and traffic infractions.

In late May, Hall was charged with selling almost 3,000 pounds of scrap metal to a Mountain Home business in nine transactions. It was reported Hall was paid about $2,000 for the metal.

A report had been taken from EZ Loader trailers that during a two-month period, scrap aluminum had gone missing from their plant.

In early June, a vehicle Hall was driving was pulled over, and methamphetamine and glass-smoking pipes to ingest the drug were found.
