Starting Tuesday, nonprofits in the Twin Lakes area are now able to apply for Giving Tree Grants through the Twin Lakes Community Foundation (TLCF), an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation. All applications must be submitted online by February 15.

Kimberly Jones, Executive Director of the Twin Lake Community Foundation says over $3.6 million in grants have been awarded since they were formed in 2002. She says, “It’s been a pleasure to strengthen this community by supporting important causes like education, food security, and community development.”

Any IRS 501(c)(3) public charity, public school, government agency or hospital are eligible to apply. Priority is given to organizations based in Baxter, Marion, Izard and Fulton Counties; however, the Community Foundation will consider applications from organizations based in other areas if they can demonstrate that their program will provide direct services to people in the counties we serve. Grants typically range from $500 to $2000 and requests for all types of grants will be considered. Grants are not made to individuals or small businesses.

Nonprofits can visit arcf.org/givingtree to view Giving Tree grant submission guidelines, criteria and to begin the application process. Applications will be reviewed by a grantmaking committee from Twin Lakes Community Foundation.
